Guess what ? After only being out barely 5 months, you can know get Guitar Hero III (including the Wireless Guitar) for the Wii at discount pricing from Amazon (and yet it’s new). The new price? $74.99

The new pricing makes the Wii version the cheapest at Amazon among the major gaming platform.

If you’re lucky..you may be able to snag a used one on eBay for around $50, though that’s not the norm (and shipping isn’t a fixed as it is on eBay).

When we all finally get our hands on a Mario Kart Wii Wheel this month, it will be the result of a lot of hard work by Nintendo.

According to a new interview up on Nintendo.com, there were some 30 different prototypes that Nintendo developed to finally figure out the ideal wheel.

I guess it’s not quite as easy as it looks….

ATTENTION: Fat Americans Who Watch too much TV, you’re about to be bombarded with a $40 million campaign for Wii Fit.

That’s right, Nintendo is spending alot of dough to make Wii Fit its biggest launch ever.

Considering that there are still Wii shortages all over the place — I would really hope that Nintendo does this launch right– by producing 1 Wii Fit unit for every Wii console sold.

The game is set to be released in the US on May 19.

Wii travel alot, and the simple truth is that most business hotels are often the same.

But wouldn’t it be cool if you could choose a hotel just because they offered Free Wii Gaming?

Apparently that’s the plan for Starwood’s Westin hotel chain.

According to a post on Kotaku:

Westin Hotels & Resorts’ new Wii program will be completely free of charge to all hotel guests. This perk is the result of a groundbreaking partnership between Westin and Nintendo, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.

This complimentary amenity will be yet another addition to the successful WestinWORKOUT program, which currently provides state-of-the-art equipment and workouts—including running maps, guided runs and mental exercises—free of charge to all hotel guests.

I have to admit.

I have Wii Fit envy.

I don’t speak Japanese and I don’t have a media evaluation unit.  So this latest review from Wired — a good one — is more fuel for the fire.

Apparently the Wii Fit works! (go figure).

Good Fun.

That’s what ‘dancing with the stars’ for the Wii is all about – fun.  The basic vibe of this game is much like the hit show and it feels the same.

Gameplay requires both nunchuk and wiimote with users needing to move the correct hand the correct direction with the music (sorta like dancing).

Then there are the special moves like ‘the twist’, ‘locomotion’, ‘macarana’  where you realy do need to make those moves with the controls…this is the kind of fun that the Wii was created for.

We’ve only had this game for a day…so far so good ..

We bought it used for $20..which is what you should expect to pay on eBay.

Some Wii games are better than others.

With Sega’s Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz is more a case of some games within the game are better than others.

There as some 50 or so minigames within this..a few of them aren’t too bad but most are.

We had this game for 6 months and played it infrequently. With the chief complaint being the fact that the controls just don’t seem to work well..i guess Sega just dropped the ball.

Then there are the games that just don’t make any sense…being barely playable by adults let alone kids.

Still you can get this game pretty cheap…we bought it originally for only $20…we sold it today to Blockbuster on a trade in for only $9 though…you shouldn’t pay more then $10 or so for it on eBay either.

Here’s a bit more on Ninja Reflex..perhaps the best part of the game is the Oni Battle where you fight these mysterious Samurai demons…

No you don’t get to use the nunchuk but you do use the WiiMote to parry and attack the Oni.

The controls aren’t quite what they should be (as the vid shows) but still it’s a lot of fun.

I’ve had Rock Band envy ever since i first saw it on an Xbox 360.

Sure Guitar Hero is neat..but come on..

Rock Bank is better..it’s a whole band after all.

According to CNET:

The June 22 Rock Band Wii release will encompass the U.S. and Canada markets, and a core bundle (software, drums, microphone, and one guitar) will cost $169.99. Standalone instruments will also be sold. It’ll feature a lineup of 63 songs, including five exclusive to the Wii.
