On a revisit to Mario Party 8..we found a few issues that we didn’t notice so much the first time around.

For one thought the game can be up to 4 players you can’t easily do four player with only 2 WiiMotes – and that sucks.

Also in the mini-games there are more than a few that actually require users to use the direction keys on Wiimote as opposed to just moving the controller.

AND as a final note..the fact that the ‘ringmaster’ only types text instead of actually having a spoke word voice is really lame. In a short gaming session today – a kid we had playing really found that part to be ‘not cool’.

Still a fun game..but it’s not perfect….

Mario Party 8 is a great game. It could well be one of the BEST games for the Nintendo Wii.

It’s also been out for a while so you’d expect that there would be a few used CHEAP copies floating around. If you’re willing to hunt in your local game store you might get lucky, but eBay could well be your best bet.

We’ve seen copies of Mario Party 8 go for as little as $10 on eBay though the average tends to be somewhat higher (around $35 or so).
